Sneaky Vampire Syndicate: Bridging The NFT & Real World Gap

The NFT space is an ever growing, fast-paced space. It is often seen in a different way from the “real world” as something that has taken the majority of 2021 by storm. 2 years ago, a majority of people had barely heard of the term “NFT” (Non-Fungible Tokens), and now, a majority of us either see or hear about it daily — yet there are still many who are unfamiliar.

NFTs have been one aspect of the Cryptocurrency space that has seen tremendous growth. We now see celebrities, influencers, and many other people “embrace” the new culture and technology that NFTs have brought upon us. It is common knowledge that there still exists a rather large gap between both cultures (between the NFT community and the “real world”). As much as we have seen the concept and growth of NFTs being onboarded at such a tremendous rate, it has not come without its fair share of displeasure from the more traditional folk.

At its core NFTs were born from the Ethereum network, and with such has come many arguments about its environmental sustainability and how much this has “impacted” the environment. As we remain on this path of mass-adoption, we still see a large fissure between the two schools of thought.

Bridging This Gap

As much as we are native to the NFT community, we at SVS have consistently tried our best to bridge the gap that exists between NFT projects and businesses in the real, traditional world. It is no easy feat to try to close this gap and establish partnerships with such entities, but it is of course entirely viable.

A great example of this would be just a few days ago when SVS had successfully announced its partnership with long-standing established media company Paramount Pictures for their upcoming film Scream 5. We believe that working towards establishing partnerships with such monumental entities will cement a project’s place in growing its connections and enabling them to have an even greater reach in the more “traditional” world for the future! We have been working tirelessly with Scream over the last few months and the feeling of having such a partnership come to fruition is immeasurable, it was equally as exciting since our community enjoyed the announcement just as much as we did!

Growth within the NFT Space

As early as we all are in this space, we believe that we are all headed in a very positive direction in regards to growth. NFTs have seen such an insane growth rate, especially when it comes to bridging the gap between the “real world” and the native NFT community and their projects. We have seen the Bored Ape Yacht Club collaborate with Adidas, seen Nike purchase RTFKT, and seen many other multi-billion dollar brands enter the space. Week by week we have seen nothing but signs of a positive trajectory in where we are headed, and we couldn’t be more excited for the future!

Although it is a shame that many people who are not familiar with NFTs tend to ‘hate’ on any sort of collaborations currently; this is to be expected as it is simply so early in the market. Many people are not aware of what Crypto & NFTs in general are, what they do, or what benefits they have. As they get more mainstream adoption, there will only be an increase in the amount of NFT and real-world crossover that is seen.

Adding real-life utility to our “profile picture project” has been one of our top priorities from Day 1. From our merchandise, to our metaverse utility, to our private label champagne currently in development — we plan to centre our future collaborations and expansions into feeding into the real-world, and are excited to reveal some of the things we have been working on to be released into 2022 and beyond!

We want to thank our community, the Vamps, for all the support they have given us since our inception. We have had a big December (so far) and can’t wait to grow with all of you!
